WHAT FRIENDS FIRST DID FOR ME by a member who wants to remain anonymous

Making Friends

“I joined friendsfirst 12 months ago.  At the age of 78, I steeled myself for universal rejection. What actually happened was very much to the contrary.  Not only did I receive friendly responses from most of the ladies I contacted, but also I was flattered to hear from ladies wishing to know more about me.  Indeed, I soon became favoured with two  pleasant and promising social friendships – I meet each lady from time to time for light-hearted outings usually National Trust and other historic places (they live in different parts of the country). My family jokingly accuse me of playing the field too much, but contemporary dating often brings about multiple introductions in a short time. One must, however, be completely frank with everyone from the start – I do not believe in secrets.  Travelling distances can be a problem as neither lady is very local, but email, the telephone, and potentially Skype, are excellent for staying in touch. Now, 12 months later,  I have not found a soul mate yet – I could  be asking too much of the Good Lord – but my life  has been transformed thanks to friendsfirst. “
