We know it's hard being a church magazine or parish magazine editor - sometimes you are struggling for material and sometimes you've got too much. Whatever the size of your congregation, the chances are you'll have some single people in your midst. And they may be single and never married, or single because they're divorced, separated or widowed. Whatever their age there's also a high chance that they're lonely (however busy they may seem) and would dearly like a special companion in their lives. There is a lot of teaching and focus in churches about marriage and family matters. What isn't so commonly seen or heard is teaching or materials for single people. And this is despite the fact that 'singles' are increasingly filling our pews - whether single (never married) or people who've been married and who are now widowed, divorced or seperated.
