Default Psalm 121

I love Psalm 121 - its so encouraging when I'm feeling down or just needing encouragement. I hope others will find it encouraging.

I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help.
My help cometh even from the Lord: who hath made Heaven on earth.
He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: and he that keepeth thee will not sleep.
Behold, he that keepeth Israel: shall neither slumber nor sleep.
The Lord himself is thy keeper: The Lord is thy defence upon thy right hand;
So that the sun shall not burn thee by day: neither the moon by night.
The Lord shall preserve thee from all evil: yes, it is even he that shall keep thy soul.
The Lord shall preserve thy going out, and thy coming in: from this time forth forever more.

Default Ps 121

I agree - I love this Psalm. It's been passed down through my family as a favourite Psalm and I find it so encouraging. Mind you there are so many good ones in the Psalm. I love to pray with them - they cover such a range of emotions and feelings I have too.

Thumbs up Psalm 121

Great choice Sarah

This psalm is one of my favourites too. It keeps me close to then Lord in times of trouble or grace because it makes me think of the greatness of the Lord.
His plan for those who love Him is pre ordained and ultimately we will join him and live in that place prepared for us. Amen?

my beloved granny died last year and in my grief I knocked on the door of a church and the vicar let me in .I sat in peace and opened the bible in front of me for some guidance.I opened the page at psalm 121 and it brought me great comfort. I still miss her so much but I have God to help me through'

Smile me too!

I find Psalm 121 very encouraging too, it reminds me to take my thoughts off my self and onto the Lord, reminding me that we can Trust totally in Him in all things. Sorry akdobbs to hear about your Granny’s death and the grief you felt, good to hear that the Lord brought you comfort through His Word. How are you now?

B.S.
