What a brilliant film this was - I'm so glad it won so many awards. It really made me think - given that I talk myself often to people in Indian call centres. It's certainly made me think about how I talk to them and what their living conditions are like. But it also made me think about development - and was it a good thing. I guess of course it is in some ways - getting rid of all the slums etc, but I always think its sad when land is covered in huge office blocks etc. I guess that's the way it has to be hey!

Great film. Have you read the book The White Tiger by Aravind Adiga. If interested in India, a really good read. jeanette

I didn't like the film at all, which surprised me as I expected to. It was billed as a "feel good film". I couldn't see how a film with child abuse and torture could be entertainment.
Just my point of view. Jenny |
