What is happening in our universities and colleges if staff are concerned about a student, who may be suffering from a life threatening condition such as anorexia, but they cannot alert the parents and ultimately the student dies because noone did anything about the situation. It is also apparently illegal for staff to reveal to parents, who are almost certainly funding the student, the nature of the course the student is following and the amount of hours the student is actually spending in college each week. Surely there must be a happy medium with these rules.
