Should couples stay together for the sake of their children??

:confused: Alright so divorce hurts children emotionally but should parents stay together for the sake of their children's emotional well-being?

I don't think it's that simple. Sure, children whose parents are happily married often do better than those from "broken homes", but unhappiness and tension don't make for a great home life. I think a lot depends too on how the marriage is ended.

I stayed in an unhappy marriage for years for the sake of my kids, only to see them blossom when it ended.
