I have just been reading a very interesting article about Tony Blair's faith. During his time as Prime Minister he was made to clamp down on expressing his Christian faith in case he was labelled a religious fanatic. His atheist spin doctor Alastair Campbell warned him that the British public was not as accepting of Christianity as its American cousins. Now, however, he has taken his faith a step further and is increasingly open about the love of God and God's role in the world. He has set up his Faith Foundation to promote God and His work worldwide and has recently made such statements as, 'Those who do God's work are God's people' and 'We can forgive, but only God forgives completely in the full knowledge of our sin'.
He has urged the world to a rallying call for God and says: 'We need to make a vital decision .. whether to be spectators or movers and shakers for the Kingdom of God'
What do you think of this initiative? Where will it be leading? Do you feel convinced in his sincerity?
