I am utterly appalled by the recent forore in the press concerning Caroline Petrie and her praying for one of her patients. Are we really heading towards a big brother state in this nation where we can't do anything without the authorities breathing down our necks. I am horrified that we are a Christian nation and yet we can't even offer our prayers for others in a public arena. Really, how close are we to having our churches shut down because their presence offends people who don't believe in Christianity. What makes me really angry too is that many healthcare professionals would say that you can't really treat a person properly without giving them holistic care - and this includes looking after their spirit/ soul as well as their body. I am so proud that Caroline has stuck to her principles. Good for her I say - we need more Christians in the workplace like her.
