Leeds Day - Saturday 26th June 2010
Leeds boasts breathtaking architecture such as the Leeds Town Hall and the Victorian Quarter plus plenty of heritage with world-class museums and galleries.
We meet in the beautiful Art Gallery & Library for lunch and then have our own intriguing 'Yarnspinner' private walking tour of Leeds. Afterwards there's time for a coffee before venturing together to discover other gems in this vibrant city. Later share tales of the afternoons highlights over dinner with us.

Severn Valley Railway Day, Bridgnorth - Saturday 24th July 2010
A beautiful Shropshire market town split into High Town built on the rocky outcrop over looking the valley below and Low Town, at one time, a bustling port along the River Severn. Despite it’s many historical connections and buildings it is now best known for being the home of the Severn Valley Railway.
Join us for lunch, a magical steam train journey and then wander through the old streets of Bridgnorth before our evening meal.

Marvel at the interior of Fairfax House, a fine Georgian town house. Step into the Merchant Adventurers Hall, the finest preserved guild hall in Europe. Experience life in primitive Jorvik or go to the Treasurer's House for tales of ghostly Roman Legions.

Meet us for a late morning coffee / lite bite before setting off on a new city centre stroll & guided tour that takes in many of Bristol’s famous as well as secret gems. Join us later for an early evening dinner.

Chester 1 night Weekend - Saturday 18th September- Sunday 19th September 2010
Stand on Chester City walls … and you are standing on 2000 years of history. Romans patrolled these walls to protect their fortress, Dewa.
Today’s Chester still has essentially the Roman street plan with an eclectic mix of buildings from the Middle Ages to the modern times.
Taking in the sights… After lunch in our hotel we will take a guided walk along the ancient walls and streets of Chester to see its many interesting sights. Having taken a break at the Cathedral you’re then free to join us on a stroll to the riverside or explore with others the famous Chester Rows, amphitheatre, Cathedral, Grosvenor Museum or the Dewa Roman Experience. There are also loads of interesting and unusual shops too. All return to our hotel for dinner.
On Sunday join us for a stroll or head to a local church service. Then return for our Sunday lunch before heading home.

The ever-popular Jo & Tricia Sewell and the Jiveswing team will be taking us through our paces. With a choice of different lessons on our two dance floors you will be spoilt for choice. So come along to develop your jive moves, have a go at Salsa, Lindy Hop, Cha Cha Cha or even a bit of Tango. Our Friday night dance survey will ensure we have just the right mix of styles for you. Each day we will have a dance style recap to help you remember your new steps too.
Party Fun...After a day of dancing, dress up and relax over a delicious candlelit dinner. Then head to our party with our top jive DJ, to try out your new moves or simply to dance like your dad — anything goes, really!

Location: Torquay right next to Torr Abbey so It’s only a stroll to the sea and 5 minutes walk to the town centre.
Travel: Our hotel is within walking distance of Torquay Train Station. Ample parking on site. We know that Torquay is a fair distance for most of our members. However, the hotel and its facilities are really the best we have found for a dance weekend so it’s really worth the effort.

Tower of London Day - Saturday 2nd October 2010
Dozens of amazing sights ...and activities at the Tower of London. Its White Tower is an iconic symbol of Britain and one of the most important historic buildings in the world. See the 23,578 gems that make up the Crown Jewels, the famous Tower ravens, the sumptuous interiors of the Medieval Palace and Tower Green where many famous historic figures meet their demise.
Meet our group for a wonderful Spanish lunch. Spend the afternoon together exploring the Tower and then enjoy an evening meal (excluded) together.

Willersley Castle 2 night Weekend - Cromford, Matlock

With its dramatic gritstone edges and vibrant limestone valleys…
Derbyshire is a full of geological gems like the show-caverns at Castleton and the imposing cliffs of Matlock Bath. The area is steeped in history, from the grandeur of Chatsworth House to the rich industrial heritage of Cromford, and the Derwent Valley Mills World Heritage Site.
Whether you want to enjoy our weekend of guided walks, kick your heels up at our barn dance, take a dip in the hotels indoor heated pool or explore the area in a more leisurely fashion you will find this area has a lot to offer.

Willersley Castle is a 200-year-old Grade II listed building, commissioned by the great industrialist Sir Richard Arkwright. Now a comfortable Christian Hotel with additional annex bedrooms and heated indoor swimming pool. Set in 60 acres of grounds with beautiful views over the Derwent Valley.
Travel: Ample Parking. Trains are available to Cromford on the Derby – Matlock line but limited services available on Sunday. The hotel is a 10-minute walk from Cromford station.
