We are often asked how successful friendsfirst is?

If you judge success by the number of marriages we've had then we are very successful. And if you add in the numbers of people making new friends (which is what some people join for) then it's even better

Stuck in a rut? Looking for something new?

As the Autumn approaches, and a new term starts for many around us – children, students and teachers – now is a good time to reflect on your life and whether it’s as fulfilled as you want it to be. With the busy lives we all lead, it’s easy to get stuck into routines that are familiar, doing the same things week in week out, and mixing with the same individuals, family members and social scene we are used to. If you are happy with your life as it is that’s great - but if you are on your own and would rather not be, then it’s worth considering making some small changes that could make a significant difference. Take up a new hobby, join a new group, learn a new skill – all of these will add a new flare to your life and get you meeting new people and making new friends.

If your real desire is to meet some new people, with your focus on meeting someone special, then seriously consider joining friendsfirst  - the Christian friendship organisation that puts single Christians in touch with each other for friendship and relationships. Like joining anything new, it can seem daunting, but you’ll be in good company and soon find yourself connecting with like minded people also looking for new friends. It could be just the thing you are looking for.

For more information about meeting new people and friendsfirst  membership, ring Katharine on 0121 427 1286 or look at www.friends1st.co.uk or write to her at PO Box 8377, Birmingham, B17 9TE. But whatever you do, take the new start that this Autumn naturally provides to do something new and change your life for the better.
