MEMBERS IN SOUTH YORKSHIRE

We love people from Yorkshire - it's such a great county and we loved it even more when one of our earliest members got married from here.

Andrea was in her 30s when she joined friendsfirst and a key aspect for her in joining was that it was Christian.  The number of single men she was meeting through friends and church was minimal and she’d been praying about a husband for a while.  She felt God was asking her to push on a few doors.  She was active in her membership and, not being too concerned about distance, had been contacting many of the people we sent her details of.  By chance she wrote to Charles at the same time as he wrote to her and their letters crossed.

They met for the first time for lunch and whilst illness and holidays might have conspired against them, thankfully they didn’t and they soon had a strong friendship and started ‘going out’.  After six months Charles proposed by which time Andrea’s decision to say “YES” was an easy one.   They were married six months later and haven’t looked back since.

They both think that using friendsfirst was a great idea (in fact many of their single friends have now joined as a result!), because as they say “there’s nothing to lose and everything to gain, let alone a lot of fun in the process.”

So if you live in South Yorkshire (or any other parts of Yorkshire for that matter) you may well find yourself as Lucky as Andrea if you join us. Don't delay if you are thinking of doing so - there is no time like the present to do it.
