MEMBERS IN BRISTOL

We've had loads of members join us from Bristol of all ages. You'd think many of them would get together with each other especially as most of our members start off thinking they'd much rather meet someone locally - for understandable reasons! But you never know what will happen if you contact people outside your area and the story of Eunice from Bristol is a case in point.

Eunice took a long time to decide whether or not to join friendsfirst and felt rather ‘cheesed off’ with the whole idea after the first few months.  She was beginning to feel she’d wasted her time.  There was no one in her first set of profiles that seemed suitable - some were too far away from her home in Bristol and some just didn’t seem ‘right’. Eunice had no transport of her own and was unemployed so the whole situation seemed crazy!  She wrote to 8 men, received just 2 replies which soon dried up. 

Eventually as a last resort she wrote to Forbes in Stirlingshire! - wondering if she was mad even though he shared her interests and said he was looking for someone petite like her.  The letters were followed by phone calls and then they met.  It took them about 2 seconds to realise they were meant for each other.  Their feelings for each other were confirmed and the rest is history!

So if you live in Bristol and are thinking of joining us, then the chances are you may well find someone locally to you - however you never know you may find your soul mate lives a bit further - and if you talked to Eunice she'd tell you she was so glad she looked a bit further resulting in her meeting and marrying Forbes.
